Split.

But I love reading about the personal lives of people I've never met! You are one of my favorite internet strangers. *sad*

Well, lucky for you I like sharing my personal life with people I've never met. And you're one of my favorite internet strangers, too, Anonymous. You jinjjah are.

I've just felt myself hesitating, lately, from being like, "So today, fourteen students tried to talk to me about porn and I tripped over an ajumma on my walk home," because I feel like suddenly people are expecting more out of this blog. And I sort of like that expectation. But I also don't want to feel limited in what I was doing before.

I also feel like a large portion of what I've been writing lately is hugely boring to the people who started reading this blog in the very beginning, who don't live in the ROK, are not teachers, and don't give a crap about anything related to any of that.

So the only solution I can think of is to make a split, and move that kind of nonsense over here. I'm not exactly sure how I'll decide what goes where yet, and rest assured that this blog will stay very personal. I'm not about to go all news article writing 101 on you or anything in this blog. My style is to write from my own perspective, and I've always found it easier to make my points by using my own experiences to illustrate them. I just felt the need for somewhat of a divide. I'll work it out as I go.

Thanks for reading, guys. The truth is, you're all my very favorite strangers.

Not the blog split! Argh! Now I have to follow two non-Picassos.

Haha Diana.... sorry. I just to feel like there's somewhere I can post nonsense without feeling as though I'm spamming my own blog.

Laura! It's alright. I don't think too much will change, except no one will be subject to my, "I just thought of this -- let me post it on the internet now." Unless they purposely choose to.

I love your blog Warts And All, Liz! I think it's varied & interesting and lovely.

Thanks, Billikins. That means a lot coming from such a discerning gentleman as yourself.

I have trouble understanding blogs -- they're personal affairs that ultimately bend, break, and die for other people.

I, for one, protest the split. Is the bizarre privileged of living vicariously through another person not a package deal.

I'll try to keep up.

No need to change anything - I don't live in the ROK (I have never been there and know little about the country) and I'm not a teacher. I came across your blog about a month ago, and have become a regular visitor since then.

I'm sure that there are at least a few silent readers just like me who think your blog and the things that you write about fascinating.
